Kay Since I can't get help in what ink to use with what paper these days -- a roller is my only alternative to air drying. This -- actually seems to flatten any ridges formed by the nib and then wicks a bit of excess thus reducing what could smear. Coated paper in leather bound journals are THE worse for having the ink float. I did reach out to Blake here about it -- but so far no help in matching appropriate ink to the sample stock I sent.
