Pelikan's 2026 Ink of the Year, and the first shimmer ink in the Edelstein line. Edelstein is German for precious stone, and each ink in the collection takes its color from one — here pyrite, the brassy mineral better known as fool's gold. The ink carries golden-gray particles suspended in it, so the line picks up a metallic glint as it dries. It comes in Edelstein's standard weighted glass bottle, gently curved and heavy enough to sit steady on a desk.
What makes it special
Shimmer ink: suspended golden-gray particles that settle on the page as the ink dries, catching light at an angle
Pelikan's 2026 Ink of the Year — released once annually and not repeated, so the color leaves the line when stock runs out
50 ml weighted glass bottle, curved and substantial, designed to stay on the desk rather than in a drawer
Dye-based and formulated for smooth flow
Works in both fountain pens and dip pens
