The green of Pelikan's Edelstein line, named for the quartz mineral flecked with reflective inclusions. Edelstein is German for precious stone, and each ink in the collection takes its color from one. Aventurine is a saturated, clear green that leans slightly blue — closer to emerald than to the yellow, forest, or olive greens that dominate the category. It shades considerably, running from a near-black dark green where the ink pools to a bright true green in the thin strokes. Comes in Edelstein's weighted glass bottle, curved and heavy enough to sit steady on a desk.
