This anodized aluminum pocket pen provides a unique haptic experience with its gear shaped grip and magnetic capping system that provides an audible "shhhunnnk" sound when capping and posting this pen. When posed, the Axis becomes a full-sized pen with a large grip section.

I've looked at this pen since it came out, initially thinking it was a little odd, but I was intrigued. When it went on sale, I decided to take the plunge and see for myself what it is like. And I am glad that I did.
The grip section really works for me. My other pocket pens are much narrower, and I prefer this wider grip. I love the capping system. My only concern with it is that, depending on how I am holding the pen, the posted cap moves a little from side to side. But I choose to see it as a reminder to correct my grip a little, and I am getting used to it. I got the EF nib and love it. It is a little toothy, but it writes really nicely.
This is my first Monteverde and my third pocket pen. I think this was a good addition to my collection.
