OK. a Blake-like review, I'll tell you what I like and dislike about this pen. Likes: This pen looks terrific. Made of quality materials, form, fit, and function are very good to excellent. I like the threaded cartridge converter. Love the screw in cap. The cartridge converter is large, holds plenty of ink, I like that. I like the feel of this pen in the hand. The material feels good. Grippy. The transition is excellent. I like moving my hand up and down the barrel. The nib, the meat and potatoes of any pen, is also excellent. Smooth with a delicate line. Dolce, I don't know, I wish it were a converted broad instead of a medium. It's delicate. But that's part of what separates it from some of my other pens. Dislikes. $288. At that price it competes with some of my Platinum and Sailor pens. BUT!. It fulfills a niche within my collection, so it's solidly within my rotation and it's Italian. So overall I'm pleased with my purchase.
The pen is very beautiful. Some people have complained of the grey being off, but I don’t see it bothering me. The pen writes very smooth and has little feedback. One thing that is an issue for me is the inconsistency of the ink flow.
This is a beautifully designed and colorful pen bought at a good price. It writes, however, more like a medium than a fine, but it is super smooth.
The fine nib is much finer than I expected, comparable to pilot extra fine. But it writes very smooth. The nib is a little more flexible too! Loving the pen from both the presentation to functionality!
