Kaweco AL Sport Fountain Pen - Raw Aluminum

The aluminum version of Kaweco's Sport, the octagonal pocket pen the company has made for decades. Closed, it's short enough to pocket; posted, the cap brings it up to full writing length. This is the Raw Aluminum finish — bare, uncoated metal, left to mark and patina with use, so the pen ends up carrying a record of how it's been carried.

What makes it special

• Solid aluminum body and grip section — more substantial in hand than the plastic Classic Sport, while staying light for a metal pen
• Raw, uncoated finish by design: it scuffs and scratches as you use it and takes on a patina unique to you. Kaweco is blunt that this is the point of the finish, not a flaw
• Sport proportions — about 10.7 cm closed, 13.2 cm posted: small in the pocket, full length once posted
• German-made stainless steel nib by Bock, iridium-tipped; the nib unit unscrews for cleaning or for swapping with Kaweco's other Sport nibs
• Round barrel with an octagonal cap, so it won't roll off the desk; ships with a blue cartridge in a Kaweco tin
