The e + m Holzprodukte Textured Walnut Clutch Pencil is a beautiful sketching tool and appears to be well made. Not surprisingly, as most, if not all German-made writing instruments, sharpeners, etc. are meticulously well crafted from high quality materials. The walnut wood is really nice. I'm picky about wood grain, and what was chosen for this clutch pencil was carefully selected by those who made it. The wood is dark, unlike the one in the listing, and is also not as "textured" as it's name, or stock photo suggests, at least not the one I received. Mine does have some texture, where as the one in the stock photo appears to be more fluted. The wood is smooth, not rough, so it feels comfortable in hand. It has some weight to it, given the fact that it's mostly made of metal, but I like that because I don't use a heavy hand when sketching, and this allows the graphite's lead grade to lay down with more precision. I'm sorry to say I haven't tested the graphite lead that it comes with, which it comes with 2. One lead in the barrel, and another in a plastic casing. I was also able to fit a 5.6mm lead into it smoothly. Overall, I'm very satisfied with it, I have 3 others from e + m on the way. I only wish I had discovered this online shop sooner, the prices are lower than anyone else's and the shipping is much faster. I'll definitely order from Paper Mind again.
