I decided to purchase the Gioia Metis "Terre di Napoli" after seeing a review on Youtube. Frankly, it's simply a beautiful, big(ish) pen which sells for much less than I would have expected. Besides having a lovely large nib, the pen is a piston-filler, making it easy to ink-up. The nib is remarkably smooth writing with just a nice amount of feedback, which I like. I would have given it five stars had I not been disappointed with the thickness of line produced by F nib I requested. Granted, I have it currently inked with Noodler's, which is pretty wet, but to compare its line with that of my F Aurora Ipsilon (which is truly a fine nib), the Gioia's is definitely a medium. I am almost tempted to purchase another since the price is affordable but get an XF nib -- perhaps it would be closer to a F. Except for that (which is a rather big deal nonetheless), it is a lovely pen to hold as well as to look at, and I have no issues with the nib being scratchy, skipping, or not starting.
A pleasure to use, the pen has heft and substance, beautiful body. Thanks also for the video it was helpful in deciding to buy this pen.
Stunningly beautiful pen. Very smooth nib.
