The Metis is a large handmade Italian fountain pen produced from a solid rod of resin. It features a piston filling system and a custom decorated JoWo #6 steel nib.
Metis is the Greek goddess of good counsel, planning, cunning, and wisdom.

The Metis is on a par with other Italian pens in this price range. Beautiful resin, piston fill, writes well, and is something you don't see everyday.
Fantastic pen. This is the seventh Metis I’ve purchased. Four for myself, three as gifts. Both Fine and Medium nibs write beautifully. Great flow and ink capacity. The workmanship is flawless unlike that of much higher-priced pens. The filling piston operates perfectly. I’d highly recommend both Gioia and The Paper Mind!
