Hexagonal barrel and cap made of anodized aluminum. Cap, with a metal clip pulls off and posts on the back end while writing. With or without the cap, the pen has a balanced weight. The ergonomically shaped grip zone allows for comfortable writing and is suitable for right and left-handed users.

For me the Hexo is a much better pen. Fewer colors, but the pocket clip on the Lamy makes it a dealbreaker for me. This is my second Hexo because I wanted to try the fine nib. Outstanding pen.
